South Africa’s COVID-19 death toll has increased by five. This brings the number of coronaviruses related deaths in the country to 153.
Two of the deaths are each from the Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal while the other is from Limpopo.
Deaths due to COVID-19 keep rising, but the good news is that 3,153 of the 7,808 people who tested positive have already recovered.
A total of 279,379 tests countrywide have been conducted to date with 11,315 done in the past 24 hours.
The Western Cape still leads with the number of deaths and infections in the country.
