Mzansi’s songstress Amanda Black, has slammed men who participated in the #TwerkForPhume competition. South African men recently showcased their twerking skills on Instagram, this follows after an Instagram user Phume, hosted a PlayStation competition.
Phume was giving away with the new gaming console PlayStation 5, which a lot of men have been dying to have. The PlayStation gaming console was released this week, and we don’t blame them either for wanting to own one, because having it under these lockdown circumstances can help to kill boredom.
Phume has since been trending on Twitter, with videos of contenders who decided to get down and dirty, for her to stand a chance to win the new PlayStation 5. In a tweet, Amanda expressed how shocked she was when she saw men twerking. The songstress slammed men and said they must start respecting themselves.
If you want an end to patriarchy, misogyny, toxic masculinity…. you can’t be shaming men that represent exactly the world you want to live in.
