A leading international company is looking for an experienced External Communications Manager to join their Marketing department. As the External Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an external communications strategy with the intent of driving advocacy and thought leadership for the Company and their flagship product.
This strategic role harnesses insight from both external and internal stakeholders to create impactful communications initiatives through public relations, analyst relations, media placements, and other relevant channels. Reporting to the Head of Central Marketing, the role requires direct engagement with both the senior executive layer of the organization, as well as collaboration across regional and international stakeholder and peer networks.
SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:
· Degree/Diploma in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field
· Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a senior B2B Technology Communications role
· Outstanding communications skills, including excellent writing, editorial and messaging – in particular, distilling complex ideas into accessible copy for different audiences
· Experience working with external influencers, such as an investor or industry analysts, a plus
· A base-level understanding of Gartner
· Demonstrable experience in strategic messaging creation and development
· Exceptional understanding of the tech and consultant media, and experience working with international media titles in the US and Europe
· Experience in working collaboratively and virtually with globally dispersed teams
