Job Role:

Driving the Universal Group IT strategy into all the Group companies in the region (Gauteng), providing strategic input, aligning change (local, regional versus central) and overseeing IT operations.

Sustaining regional capabilities to enable sufficiency, increasing stability and management of risk as key custodian of the Group IT Relationship. Provide the Executive: Group Shared Services with strategic insights relating to both run and change activities and drive out IT strategy into the region.

Accountabilities include establishing and maintaining business relationships at the Executive level, as well as engagement on all levels throughout the region. Also, be responsible for the following functions in the Gauteng region:

Execution of the Group IT strategy.
Project Management oversite to all the business units in the region.
Localization of Group IT Architecture to all the business units in the region.
Representative of IT Operational delivery, as well as client satisfaction for all services delivered.

Responsibilities:

Strategically position and promote Group IT in the region with key stakeholders in terms of the brand, services and governance.
Alignment, execution and translation of the Group IT strategy in the region.
Responsible for ensuring that Group IT services are delivered to the requirements of the Group regional based business.
Management and control of the Region’s Technology services.
Functionally ensure that Group IT enables business in the region to achieve their overall objectives.
Monitor maintain and report on Group IT regional functions in line with compliance requirements and good governance.
Ensure continuous improvement through innovation and improved work efficiencies across Group IT, by providing input into the IT strategy and service offering.
Implementation and maintenance of strong financial measures for services delivered to the region. Liaising with businesses inGautengon IT operational and strategic activities.
Monthly reporting to Group IT Management, onGautengregional activities (this includes inter alia, business migrations, technology refresh activities, SLA measurements, budgeting cycles, projects for theGautengregion, etc.).
Supervision of regional staff in a matrix organization.
Direct management responsibility for desktop support services in theGautengregion.
Managing and reporting of High Priority incidents/changes/issues with clients in theGautengregion.
Maintaining quality control procedures for Group IT in the Gauteng region.
Coordinate problems and troubleshooting (problem-solving).
Group IT Project delivery oversight for the Gauteng region.
Support/compliment the DR and WAR coordination, planning and management for the Gauteng region.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Functional Reporting to relevant Central Group IT Exco inCape Town.
Direct reporting line to Executive Head of Shared Services inCape Town.
Responsible to represent Group ITI Exco members in theGautengregion.
Accountability to represent Cape Town Exco in the North
Building and maintaining strong business relationships across the group.
Oversee the delivery of Outsourced Vendors in theGautengregion. Ownership remains with the functional owner of the service. Role is to enforce service delivery and escalate to the relevant Group IT owner where applicable.
Localize and execute on Group IT Strategies within the Region
Take responsibility for all regional activities, liaising with Centers of Excellence within Group IT where required.
Significant travel to ALL the Group businesses in the region.
Project Ownership of all key projects in the region across all customers.
Maintain close relationship with Group IT functional owners and skills

Requirements:

Qualifications:

IT qualification combined with 10 to 12 years relevant work experience.
ITIL Certification V3/4 essential

Experience:

At least 6 years Senior Management experience in an IT Account Executive role, including services, client satisfaction and human capital management.
Knowledge of infrastructure platforms/service management processes/applications (end to end understanding of the IT environment/ Security/Governance).
Commercial experience, including billing models/budget setting and budget control.
Project management experience.
Experience in Client Interaction at an Executive Level.
Experience in service delivery through multiple cross-functional teams, in a matrix managed structure.
Direct line Management experience, as well as matrix management, will apply.
Talent Management experience to acquire and retain key skills.
Keen ability to link client business needs and reframe the way the client views their business.
Proven ability to build a strategic and concise territory plan and execute according to plan.
An exceptional communicator – someone who is articulate, confident, self-aware, and personable.
