Junet Mohamed (born on 25 October 1977 in Migori County) is a Kenyan politician. He is currently serving as the current Member of Parliament for Suna East in Migori County.
He is also the National Assembly minority leader and the first Kenyan Somali to grasp a seat in the Nyanza region.
Junet is also a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) political party.

Junet attended the University of Nairobi where he studied Business Administration. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Marriage
Junet is married to Deka Jamaa, a beautiful wife who professes the Islamic faith, and the couple is blessed with five children.
Career
He served as the Councilor for Migori town having after he was appointed in 2003.
In 2013, he started politics officially after he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Suna East under the ODM party.
Junet is the first Kenyan Somali to occupy the position in the Nyanza region.
Though the politician grew up there and also has friends and connections in the location.
In 2017, he was re-elected into the same position, and later Junet became the minority leader for the National Assembly.
He is also close to Raila Odinga, the ODM party leader. Lately, he shared his secrete of maintaining his position without trifles and impeachment. He says it is staying close to the leader Raila Odinga.
