Amapiano hitmaker Kabza De Small has been voted the coolest local DJ at this year’s Sunday Times Gen Next Awards dethroning Black Coffee who has held the position for several years.
The 16th annual Sunday Times Gen Next Awards were announced online on Friday, August 21 hosted by Maps Maponyane. The awards results are determined by a survey limited to South African youth between the ages of 8 and 23 and young professionals aged 24 to 30.
The youth have spoken and this year Kabza is the coolest Local DJ and it’s no surprise as since he burst onto the scene he has captivated the country with his infectious tunes.
Rapper Nasty C has also dethroned Trevor Noah as the Coolest Local Male Celebrity in 2020 taking the number one spot and Kabza took the third spot in the category.
Media personality Bonang Matheba for the second year has bagged the coolest online influencer.
