We are Searching for a Storeman in the Roodepoort area.
Duties:
Maintenance of an effective, optimal and safe stores management system and organization
To receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client-provided materials on the site
Handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, specifications or dictated by legislation e.g. Health & Safety
Qualification:
National qualification (certificate) in stores/warehousing is preferred
3 years experience in a stores/warehouse environment and experience in operating a computerized stores management system Fork Lift driving license
Drivers Licence
Trained in Crane operation
Knowledge of stores management techniques and systems, particularly in a project manufacturing environment
Be conversant with inventory management and stock counting
IT skills (MS Excel essential, need to be completely comfortable with Web-based applications, ERP and barcode system experience would also be an advantage, Email essential)
An ability to work in a logical and structured manner, keeping excellent records and a disciplined approach to data management and filing
Goods Inward
Receipt of deliveries to site, including notification of deliveries to other functions
Liaison with QC function for goods receipt inspections
Day to day organization of a goods received quarantine area
Stock Control
Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order as required
Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ERP inventory
Ensure stock items have appropriate codes
Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Materials Issue
Issue materials for production per daily work list (pick-list)
Use stores requisition system and keep records
Use tooling control system
Use fluids control system (test fluids, diesel, oils etc)
Deliver materials/equipment/items to shopfloor/work areas as required
Reporting
Produce various reports (as requested)
Report damage to incoming materials or equipment
Report FLT damage or property damage caused by FLT/s
General
FLT and company vehicles (van/s) daily checks e.g. tyres, oil, water, lights, horn
Respond to telephone calls to the stores
Provide counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
QHS&E
Participate in safety tours, behavioural assessments, risk assessments, environmental impact assessments and audits on main stores activities and work areas
Contribute to the compilation of stores operational procedures
Ensure rigging and lifting equipment certification is in date prior to issue of such equipment
Control storage of gas bottles in strict compliance with legislative requirements
COSHH datasheet (filing and updating)
Participate in waste stream management in conjunction with HSE function (fluids, packaging, scrap materials)
Participate to continuous improvement programs
Apply and promote the Technip Group values charter (Ethics, Social, Environmental, Health, and Safety)
Apply company rules, respect and apply safety rules
