A hundred and seventy-four more people have succumbed to COVID-19 in South Africa. This brings the total number of coronavirus related deaths in the country to 14,563.
There have been 2,420 new COVID-19 infections in South Africa in the last 24-hours. As of 3 September, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 633,015.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s COVID-19 recovery rate continues to improve. It’s now at 88-percent with 554, 887 recoveries.
