The total number of confirmed coronavirus related deaths in South Africa is 15,086. The Health Department has reported 82 new deaths in the last 24 hours.
The majority of the deaths are from KwaZulu Natal (27), Western Cape (20) and Gauteng (15).
The Eastern Cape (9), Free State (6) and Northern Cape (5) have also reported fatalities.
There have been 1,079 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of accumulated cases to 640, 441.
The recovery rate stands at 88.6-percent which means 567, 729 people have recovered from the virus.
