The Hawks have swooped on eThekwini officials and service providers allegedly linked to dodgy business dealings involving R700-million.
It’s alleged some officials from the eThekwini municipality’s water and sanitation unit signed off on payments for services that weren’t received.
Some of the payments were also allegedly made using falsified documents.
Various items, including laptops, bank cards, and invoices were seized in the raids, but no arrests have been made.
