Total Deaths and Recoveries
Regrettably, we report 113 more COVID-19 related deaths: 19 from KwaZulu-Natal, 19 from Gauteng, 16 from Eastern Cape, 2 from Free State, 18 from Western Cape, 24 from Mpumalanga and 15 from Northern Cape.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 15 378.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 574 587 which translates to a recovery rate of 88,9%

In Other News – Two Hawks members arrested on multiple charges including theft
Two members of the Hawks were arrested in Klerksdorp on Friday on multiple charges including theft, defeating the ends of justice and possession of the suspected stolen property.
“The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit in North West, arrested two of their members stationed in Klerksdorp on for alleged theft, defeating the ends of justice, possession of suspected stolen property and money laundering related to nonferrous metals,” said Capt Tlangelani Rikhotso. learn more
