The health department reported 2,156 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 710,515.
There have been 102 additional COVID-19 deaths recorded, although only 20 of these occurred in the past 48 hours.
South Africa’s recoveries currently stand at 642,560.
