The health department has reported 164 new COVID-19 related deaths in South Africa in the last 24 hours. This brings the number of deaths in the country to 18,656. In the last 24 hours, there have been 1,050 new COVID-19 cases.
This brings the total number of cases to 706,304. South Africa’s recoveries stand at 639,568, which translates to a 90-percent recovery rate.
