A farmer is fighting for his life after being trapped in a fire in the Free State.
The province has been battling a fire in Hertzogville since Sunday, but now a new fire that began in the Northen Cape has also crossed the border.
The blazes which have been fanned by high winds and dry grass have destroyed thousands of hectares.
Dozens of cattle have also died. The extent of the damage is not known yet.
