A former KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner and captain are on the wanted list. The NPA’s Investigating Directorate has issued warrants for their arrest.
Former commissioner Mmamonnye Ngobeni, and former police captain, Aswin Narainpershad, are accused of corruption and fraud.
This is related to police tenders for the 2010 World Cup. The two failed to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
The other two accused, Durban businessman Thoshan Panday and senior police officer Navin Madhoe, did appear and are now out on bail.
