Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize says he is concerned about the rise in new COVID-19 infections.
The country recorded over 3,000 new coronavirus cases on Friday. Most of those infections are in the Eastern Cape. Mkhize says they have identified hotspots in that province.
The cumulative total of COVD-19 infections in South Africa is 762,763.
The health department also confirmed 88 new COVID-19 deaths.

This brings the total to 20,759 deaths. South Africa’s recoveries now stand at 707,040 which translates to a recovery rate of 92,7-percent.
