South Africa recorded 4,932 new COVID-19 infections and 160 more deaths.
More than 21,000 thousand people have died. There are over 4,900 new infections recorded in the latest statistics from the Health Department.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize visited some of Cape Town’s popular hangouts, with Western Cape health MEC, Nomafrench Mbombo.
They found two places were not complying with COVID-19 regulations. Patrons weren’t wearing masks or practising social distancing.
The health department has identified night clubs and taverns as hotspots of super-spreaders.
