It’s time to glam up after a yearlong of being at home, because the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed that the Oscars 2021 will not be taking place virtually, and will instead be a traditional in-person ceremony.
Sources inside the Oscars revealed to Variety that by pushing the awards ceremony back, the Academy hoped that theatres would be open again in the spring, thus allowing for more movies to compete in the annual celebration of the year’s best films.
