Bandile Masuku (born Bandile Edgar Wallace Masuku) is a medical doctor and politician. The South African occupies the position of a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.
He has occupied the position since May 2019 and also has served as the Gauteng MEC for Health for a year (2019-2020).
Dr. Masuku belongs to the party, the African National Congress (ANC), the governing political party in South Africa.

Background
His place of birth is in Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital situated in Soweto.
Dr. Masuku was raised in Soweto, he got expulsion from school. During his days at the Sekano-Ntoane Secondary School, he took an active part in youth activism.
Later, he joined the Congress of South African Students (COSAS). Masuku repeated his matriculation in 1992 after he failed to succeed the previous year, 1991.
Education
He started to pursue a BSc degree at the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in 1994.
After four (4) years, in 1998, he registered for a degree in Medicine and after more years, in 2004, he fulfilled the degree.
Bandile served as the chairperson of the Student Representative Council (SRC).
Wife
Dr. Bandile Masuku is married to Loyiso and the couple is blessed with three (3) sons. His wife is an ANC municipal councilor in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.
She also occupies the position of MMC for Corporate and Shared Services to the Municipality. Bandile and his family reside in Alberton, Gauteng.
Career
In 2002, he became the National Executive Committee of the South African Student Congress.
In 2013, he also served as the spokesperson of ANCYL after he was elected into the position.
As a doctor, he has worked in several hospitals in the country. His specialty covered ‘obstetrics’ and ‘gynaecology’.
He was the director of the obstetrics and gynecology unit at the Thelle Mohoerane Regional Hospital, Vosloorus, East Rand, Gauteng.
In May 2019, he occupied the position as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.
On the 29th of May, he took office as a Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Health after he was appointed into the position by Premier David Makhura.
The next day, 30th May, Dr. Bandile was sworn into office.
