Efforts to reduce the number of fatalities on our roads during the festive season are being stepped up.
Gauteng Transport MEC Jacob Mamabolo has led a campaign in Krugersdorp on the R24 to encourage safe driving.
Mamabolo says the R24 is notorious for a high number of accidents and deaths.
The MEC is urging travellers to stay at home this festive season. He said they won’t just be exposed to accidents but they risk contracting COVID-19.
