The country has recorded 7,882 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 852,965.
The Department of Health has reported 154 new COVID-19 related deaths in South Africa, pushing the death toll to 23,106.
The Eastern Cape still accounts for most of the new COVID-19 deaths.
Over 760,000 people have recovered from the virus, meaning the country is dealing with just under 70,000 active cases.
