Several arrests made after SAPS targets hotspots

A range of law enforcement operations has targeted the crime hotspot of Ivory Park in Ekurhuleni.

Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela, was on the ground, overseeing and participating in what police call – ‘stamping the authority of the state’

“In a roadblock, we have already recovered four identified stolen vehicles where the VIN and chassis numbers were tampered with,” said Commissioner Mawela.

Mawela said they have embarked on awareness and educational campaign.

Police made several arrests during the operation.
