Level 3 lockdown: Churches resume services

Congregants can once again attend church. This follows the lifting of the ban on religious gatherings.

But only 50 people are allowed to attend indoor services.

Churches were previously identified as superspreader venues and church gatherings were prohibited.

But church leaders have argued that people needed the word of God now more than ever.

As congregants return to church, some pastors believe the battle is not yet won.

In January, two church leaders in the Sebokeng District were arrested for holding illegal gatherings.
