A suspect has been arrested following a shooting incident at the Lenasia taxi rank on Saturday.
When police arrived on the scene, they spotted the suspect, who then started running.
He was cornered and arrested.
The suspect was found with an AK-47 rifle and a 9-millimetre pistol and ammunition.
Police say they are profiling the suspect to check if he is linked to other crimes.
He will appear before the Lenasia Magistrate court in due course.
