Chipinge refugees involved in an accident whilst being transferred: Pics. The refugees are from the Tongogara Refugee Camp and were reportedly returning from a church gathering when their vehicle was hit from behind by a truck that failed to stop at a roadblock.
About twenty refugees from Tongogara Refugee Camp in Chipinge were involved in a fatal accident at Mikiri along the Tanganda-Chiredzi highway this evening. Two were confirmed dead at Chipinge District Hospital.
Unconfirmed reports say the group was coming from a church gathering when their vehicle was hit from behind by a truck that failed to stop at a roadblock.
