The Health Department has reported 655 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa. A total of 34 more deaths takes the death toll to 53,356.
The department says 1,484,356 recoveries have been recorded. A total of 289,797 healthcare workers have been vaccinated.

Tributes have been pouring in for rapper AKA’s late fiancee, Anele Tembe. Nelli, as she was affectionately known, reportedly died after allegedly jumping out of a building on Sunday morning, 11 April.
