A total of 4,519 new COVID-19 infections were reported in South Africa.
Sadly, 70 more people have died, taking the death toll to 56,363.
Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country is entering a third wave of COVID-19 infections.
He says we must do everything in our power to mitigate its impact.
The President was speaking at the ANC Northern Cape provincial elective conference.
