Business For SA: Private sector equipped to speed up vaccine drive

Lobby group Business for South Africa says the private sector is more than equipped to speed up the nation’s vaccination drive, but access to vaccines is a stumbling block.

It says companies and private clinics are opening up sites across the country daily.

The group’s chair Martin Kingston says the withdrawal of two million Johnson & Johnson doses over contamination concerns was a big setback.

He says like many other countries, South Africa is waiting on manufacturers.
