Dept of Correctional Services dismisses reports of prison protest

Correctional Services has dismissed reports of a prisoner hunger strike at the Estcourt Correctional Centre as fake news.

That is where former President Jacob Zuma is being held.

Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo says people must stop causing unnecessary panic.

Zuma began his jail time on Wednesday at the prison.
