The road was closed after protesters torched several trucks calling for the release of former president Jacob Zuma.
The N3 Toll Concession’s Thania Dhoogra says they appreciate the deployment of law enforcement officials.
Some protesters have been arrested for public violence.
Zuma is in jail as part of his 15-month sentence handed down by the Constitutional Court for contempt.
