A spokesperson for the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (Popcru) says union members are concerned about budget cuts on law enforcement agencies.
Richard Mamabolo says it’s had a huge impact on them as they can’t carry out their mandate.
The police have not been able to recruit new members due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and staff numbers have been declining in the last three years.
