The City of Johannesburg could have a new mayor soon as the Metro is set to hold a special meeting for a mayoral election. The meeting follows the death of Mayor Geoff Makhubo from COVID-19 complications.
Finance MMC Jolidee Matongo has reportedly been earmarked by the ANC for the position.
The party will hold a briefing on Tuesday to discuss matters of succession and coalitions
