Survivors of a horrific bus crash that killed 30 people in the Eastern Cape claim the vehicle wasn’t fit to be on the road.
Among those who died are two babies aged between two and four months old.
Twenty-four others were injured when the bus driver lost control on the N2 near Kei Cuttings between East London and Butterworth on Monday.
The bus company, DMJ Transport, denies the vehicle was unroadworthy.
“It is very hard to say what has happened. Because the driver has passed away and we are not sure exactly what happened,” said Thembisa Mkhohlwa.
“The second driver that was there was not feeling very well.”
The Eastern Cape government is offering families of the victims counselling during their time of grief.
