Bianca Buitendag (born 9 November 1993 in George, Western Cape) is a South African surfer. She has represented her country at international competitions.
At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she entered the competition representing South African. Her performance in the competition earned her a reward. In the women’s shortboard competition, she took the second place (silver).

Background
She was born on 9 November 1993 in George, Western Cape, South Africa. She was raised close to the beach of False Bay located outside of Cape Town.
Her late father, Collin Buitendag, gave her the encouragement she needed to learn surfing.
Eight-year-old Bianca and her brothers were already taught surfing. At the age of 12, with her family, she relocated to the South Cape region.
Her parents thought it would be best for her to attend English school after she only spoke Afrikaans when she first attended school. Sadly, her father died in 2015.
