DJ Jaivane aka Mr Simnandi has found himself dancing to the tune of the law after allegedly being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. According to Soweto culture, wild revelry, guns, shooting in the air, spinning cars, scantily clad women and the constant flow of alcohol – is the increasingly familiar scene of a funeral “after-tears” party, a signature-style wake to mark of a popular person.
DJ Jaivane, whose real name is Luyanda Mlonzi,is a producer who has been a dominating force in the realm of Amapiano and soulful music ever since the inception of the sounds and during this time he has gained influence and helped pushed the genre to its current height.
