Formula 1 has decided to cancel its contract with the Russian Grand Prix and will not host races there, for the foreseeable future.
September’s race in the resort city of Sochi had already been cancelled following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
But now the sport’s commercial arm has decided there will not be a Grand Prix in Vladimir Putin’s home town of St Petersburg, where it was due to move in 2023.
