Manchester United manager Eik Ten Hag is now reportedly ready to part ways with striker Cristiano Ronaldo, but the management seems to stall in letting him go.
Media reports in Europe suggest that the Red Devils’ star is seriously unhappy at the club and his manager, Ten Hag, is willing to let him the Portuguese go.
However, it is reported that the English Premier League outfit’s co-owner Joel Glazer is not prepared to allow the former Real Madrid star to part ways with the club.
“Manchester United co-chairman Joel Glazer remains against selling superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, despite boss Erik ten Hag being open to selling the forward,” reports Daily Mail.
“The 37-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has been up in the air ever since he declared his intention to quit the club earlier in the summer following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
“It could be a huge blow unless United can somehow tempt a new striker to Old Trafford that can provide the goals they could potentially lose from Ronaldo.”
Despite the club facing the possibility of separating from the seasoned talisman, it could be a huge blow unless they can somehow tempt a new striker to Old Trafford that can provide the goals they could potentially lose from Ronaldo.
As Ronaldo is one of the trending topics on Twitter, broadcaster Piers Morgan has also joined the conversation, saying he hopes the 37-year-old will leave sooner rather than later.
“Imagine being the greatest footballer of all time having to endure playing with this gutless bunch of weak woeful wastrels? Must be torture for Cristiano – hope he escapes soon,” he wrote on Twitter.
The speculation is fuelled by the fact the old Trafford-based club has lost two of their opening EPL matches, 4-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion and 2-1 to Brentford.
