South African-born coach Benni McCarthy continues to make the nation proud after Man United sinked Arsenal.
This comes after Manchester United defeated Arsenal 3-1 on Sunday to break the Gunners’ 5-game winning streak. The victory was also Manchester United’s fourth on the trot, following two humiliating defeats in the first two games.
Unsurprisingly, the latest win over table-topping Arsenal sent Manchester United’s supporters into delirium.
South Africans, in particular, attributed Manchester United’s recent form to Benni McCarthy, saying he had inspired the club’s forwards.
The former Bafana Bafana star recently joined Erik Ten Haag’s coaching staff. McCarthy was appointed as Man United’s forwards’ coach last month.
Since his appointment, Benni McCarthy seems to have won the respect of his players for the impact he has made in the dressing room and on the training pitch.
