There seem to be winds of change sweeping through one of the country’s oldest television productions, Generations: The Legacy.
Airing on weekdays on SABC1, Generations: The Legacy is set to have a new face on the line-up and that is none other than the veteran actor, Patrick Mofokeng.
According to a serial social media user and commentator, Phil Mphela, he says Mofokeng will form part of the new cast on Generations: The Legacy.
As one of the most watched television soapies, Generations: The Legacy has also roped in faces such as actress Ayanda Borotho while Yonga Thomas is leaving the production.

The seasoned and award-winning Mofokeng is well known for his role as Mlungisi “Dlokovu” Ngema on eTV’s Scandal where he was married to Zinzile Ngema (Gcina Nkosi), and they had two children: Omphile and Lindiwe Ngema.
Apart from that character, he also featured in various productions such as Themba: A Boy Called Hope but he shocked the viewers when he suddenly left Scandal.
However, he resurfaced on Mzansi Magic where he played the part of Mandla Cele on Lingashoni. Mandla is a decent man who puts a lot of effort into providing for his family despite being a man who is blinded by his love for his first wife.
And now Patrick is taking his acting skills to Generations: The Legacy and there is no doubt his admirers are excited with the development.

“Lol but he appeared on Scandal not long ago just to be raised from the dead and then disappeared, I’m guessing he wasn’t happy with the direction of the storyline.”

“I’m conflicted, I don’t know whether to congratulate him or to be ashamed of generations’ downfall because honestly, he worked hard as an actor to be where he is today but unfortunately Generations is not that relevant hence why anyone can be cast on it. Nevertheless, congrats.”
