Legendary actress Sophie Ndaba reveals the pain of living with diabetes

Popularly known for her acting role in South Africa’s most loved soapie, Generations as Queen Moroka, Sophie Ndaba, has broken the silence on her battle with diabetes.


Sophie has lived with diabetes for close to a decade and reveals that she was victimised and even declared dead by her critics.


The legendary actress who turned businesswoman, Sophie Ndaba, took to Instagram to speak about her ordeal and says she can’t hide that she is diabetic.
In an emotional Instagram post, Ndaba, who also works as an event organiser or planner, explains that diabetes is not something one can wish for his or her enemy.

“Living with this deadly disease DIABETES for almost a decade has taught me not to take life for granted,” she wrote on Instagram.


The revered television star, Sophie, has also been cyberbullied over her drastic weight loss over the years but it seems she managed to live with that and remained resolute.


“Being attacked, teased, laughed at was nothing! Even [being] declared dead most times was nothing! Let me tell you living with Diabetes is not something you wish on your enemy. It’s uncomfortable, painful, confusing, and deadly and 24/7 monitoring is required! Trust me, prevention is better than cure!”


This website previously posted that the Johannesburg-Legendary actress, Ndaba, has found love again, this time in the arms of a Nigerian man of the cloth.
News of Ndaba finding love once again comes from her widely publicised separation from businessman Max Lichaba.


Before meeting Lichaba, Ndaba was married to The Queen actor Themba Ndaba with whom she has children.


“They get along, they pray together and talk about God. Allen has been patient with Sophie – he knows what she has been through.”


According to another source, he was one of Shepherd Bushiri’s pastors and Entertainment SA gathered that the couple reportedly met through a mutual friend and it was an instant connection.


“I can safely say it was love at first sight.”
