Manchester United ready to axe & sue Cristiano Ronaldo

Media reports coming from England indicate that Manchester United have already started planning for life without Cristiano Ronaldo.

The decision to release the Portugal skipper, Ronaldo comes from his tell-all interview with controversial television host, Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo said a lot of things about the club, Manchester, saying manager Erik ten Hag doesn’t respect him.

The former Real Madrid is reportedly also planning for life beyond the Old Trafford-based English Premier League side.

The Mirror reports that United are planning to be seeking a legal route and sue the world’s most dangerous hitman for bringing the club into disrepute.

English media houses report that Manchester United have already begun the process of sacking Ronaldo and it has come to the attention of the media that the lawyers have told United they have grounds to terminate Ronaldo’s deal for breach of contract.

According to the Mirror, Ronaldo’s legal team will counter the move by the club because terminating his deal will result in around £16million in lost wages.

“Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion,” said the club in a statement.

Apart from bashing ten Hag, Ronaldo hit out at the management, saying they have failed to develop the club and introduce modern facilities and technology.

The publication has it that the EPL club’s top brass including owner Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold, football director John Murtough and boss Ten Hag have been locked in talks over how to deal with Ronaldo in the wake of his interview, in which he claimed the club “betrayed” him.

Sources close to the club and the players reveal that the squad is tired of Ronaldo’s antics and don’t expect to see him after the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
