Babes Wodumo Posts Heartbreaking Message on Valentine’s Day Without Mampintsha

Babes, the Gqom star Wodumo wrote a vulnerable message on Valentine’s Day, recalling her late spouse, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, was cheating on her.

After suffering a minor stroke, the kwaito singer died on December 24. Babes Wodumo celebrated Valentine’s Day without her spouse for the first time, marking the first Valentine’s Day without him.

Babes and Mampintsha’s love weathered the test of time, and despite their ups and downs, they never drifted apart. Following a year-long engagement, the pair married in a traditional ceremony in 2021. Sponge, their first child, was born in 2021.

Babes came to Mampinstha’s Facebook page to post a touching photo of herself visiting Mampintsha’s burial. Babes Wodumo is shown cradling a teddy bear while face down on top of the grave.

She also chose to place flowers on Mampinsta’s tomb to honour him. The Wololo hitmaker said she will remember the times they spent together forever.

“Wow after sooo many years this is the first Valentines Day without you sthandwa Sam… Today woman out there are celebrating with loved ones, but however me being here today makes it different from others…I forever cherish days we shared together..Ngyazi ujabulile ukungbona today nginawe Sdudla Sam,Sdikselwa,Stakataka,Baba ka Sponge,” she captioned the post.

Fans went to social media to console Babes through this terrible period.

Linda Nqabisa commented, “Hugs and more love for sthandwa sam. Be strong lady, you are strong. Don’t underestimate your self love. Umthandile umfana naye wakuthanda. Believe me he will always protect you and your baby.”

Noxolo Lauren wrote, “It’s painful I know Babes..you will heal. as time goes on. Please be gentle to yourself and your feelings. I love you my sister. Take care of yourself and Sponge.”

Vay Baloyi commented, “Sending more love to you Babes be strong mugal for the sake of Sponge ull get better when time goes Mampintsha continue to RIP njaa yame we will always remember you Boss.”

Zmele Geqe Mncwabe wrote, “Sis babe love isn’t a little thing but it’s a million of little things the way you show him how much love you have ngaye u bhutmpintsho is the more unkulunkulu ethi bhuuh…ngenqwaba yezbusiso trust me he is happy so much don’t cry just enjoy love with you son and your family everything will be good.”

Babes Wodumo spoke during Mampintsha’s memorial ceremony, reflecting on their marriage and paying respect to him for his everlasting love. Mampintsha’s phone, which she could access without his pin, was also a source of contention for the singer. “What has confused me is that he has departed on earth without giving me his cellphone pin, ay because man,” Babes joked.

She went on. “Now I will be just looking at as people call because I can not open it, but a man is a man, there’s no man that does not cheat, there isn’t,” she explained. Mampinstha’s pin was ultimately cracked, exposing his claimed mistresses.
