Mzansi delighted as Pitso Mosimane claims yet another trophy

South African coach Pitso Mosimane has done it again after guiding Al Ahli Saudi to glory to qualify for the Premier League.

Mosimane led his side to a 1-0 win as they beat Al-Qadisiyah on Tuesday night and the victory means he clinches the Yelo League title.

Following the result, the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach and his men now sit at the summit with 71 points on the log.

The points are enough to claim the league title after chasers Al Akhdood lost 3-2 to Al Sahel SC to stay on 65 points.

‘Jingles’ took to Twitter to praise his technical team consisting of South Africans, saying they have completed their mission to promote the club to the elite division.

“Delivered on our mandate of promoting the team to Premier League, and tonight of winning the Championship! In any League or Competition, Country or Continent, we catch Big Fish! Nile River before and tonight in the Red Sea. Waiting for the next Project,” he wrote.

Mosimane’s achievement comes as his name is linked with a move back to South Africa where he is touted as the incoming Kaizer Chiefs coach.

Judging from his tweet, it seems he might leave the Saudi club as he said he is waiting for his next project.

“Congratulations, and we do not want you to go, as the project, from our point of view, has not been completed. We want you to stay in Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia, and I am sure that you can challenge in Roshen for professionals.”
