Following the news of businesswoman and reality TV star Shawn “MamKhize” Mkhize’s alleged visit to Thabo Bester, another name has emerged. Simphiwe Ngema’s name has been drawn into the affair now that MamKhize and Karryn Maughan have cleared MamKhize’s name.
According to new information, Simphiwe Ngema’s name appears on prison records with a list of visitor’s names who visited convicted “Facebook rapist” Thabo Bester.
After MamKhize cleared her name, according to ZAlebs a Twitter user by the name “Man’s NOT Barry Roux,” went on to reveal who the “well-known celebrity” is. Man’s NOT Barry Roux went on to reveal another celebrity name, actor and TV presenter, Thomas Gumede. According to NOT Barry Roux, Gumede is also on the list of those who paid Bester a visit.
NOT Barry Roux shared on his Twitter account, “According to Thabo Bester’s visitors recorded list, a female celebrity who used to visit him in Prison is former Muvhango actress Simphiwe Ngema. An unknown person named Thomas Gumede visited Thabo more than anyone. Not the actor though. MaMkhize’s doesn’t appear on recorded list”
The news of a “well-known celebrity” who visited Thabo Bester came after News24 Journalist Karry Maughan’s interview with NewzRoom Africa.
According to Maughan, the prison record that they have obtained shows the list of all the people who have been visiting and those he kept in contact with via phone calls. She mentioned that a “well-known celebrity” resulted in people assuming that the celebrity was MamKhize.
“What has been fascinating is because we have the prison records, we have been phoning the number of people that have been visiting him and a number of people he listed as contacts. Including a well know celebrity that you and I will both know, we have seen her on the television screens,” said Maughan in an interview on Newz Room Afrika.
