Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are giving back to the community of their hometown, Houston, Texas.
The former Destiny’s Child members have come together to do great things for their hometown. On Tuesday, Harris County officials announced that Bey and Kelly will be collaborating with the county to create 31 permanent housing units in Midtown for Houston’s unhoused.
The American Rescue Plan is said to be contributing $7.2 million to boost the project, Knowles-Rowland House which is said will cost around $8.4 million. They will be supported by Rice University according to Houston Chronicle.
They will be developing housing at the Bread of Life gymnasium at 2019 Crawford Street. And the housing complex will feature 31 new units of permanent housing.
County records indicate the housing project will offer various services, from case managers, peer specialists, and service specialists to mental and behavioural health assistance and transportation.
