Ami Faku part of a new album celebrating Bob Marley

The soulful songstress, Ami Faku has been featured on a new album that pays homage to legendary Reggae artist Bob Marley.

Titled Africa Unite, the album really has the best musicians and vocalists from Africa coming together offering their own special twists and style to some of Bob’s greatest hits. Additionally, the album also celebrates and pays respects to Bob Marley’s legacy and contribution to the music industry at large.

The chosen artists for being part of this iconic project include Ami Faku, Ayra Star Tiwa Savage, Rema, Oxlade, Patoranking, Winky D, Nutty O, Afro B, Stonebway, Sarkodie and Teni OTG. Bob Marley’s Grandson, Skip Marley has also made a feature on the Africa Unite album.

Released on Friday the 4th of July, the reimagined album consists of 10 tracks.

Taking to her Instagram to share the exciting news, Ami captioned her post: “Feeling incredibly honoured and blessed to be featured on the upcoming Africa Unite album of Bob Marley classics reimagined, dropping August 4th. Thank you to everyone involved for trusting me to be a part of this project”

Throughout his entire career, Bob Marley made it a point that he inspired the masses through sharing messages of love, peace, freedom, hope, justice and unity. He put Jamaica on the map with his contribution to the Reggae genre.
