A GOAT:Chris Brown Becomes the FIRST Artist This Century to Chart for 20 Consecutive Years Thanks to ‘IDGAF’ & ‘Sensational’

American singer-songwriter and dancer Chris Brown was top of the X trends list this morning after he made history as the first artist this century to chart on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ 20 years in a row for ‘Sensational’ and ‘IDGAF’.

In the wonderful books of Billboard history, there were only five legendary acts who held the esteemed distinction of charting for at least 20 consecutive calendar years on the Hot 100. These legends are Elton John, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and Elvis Presley.

In 2024, a new legend has etched his name into the books of Billboard history. Thanks to the recent hits ‘Sensational’ and ‘IDGAF,’ singer-songwriter Chris Brown proudly claims the title as the sixth artist to achieve this remarkable milestone.

What sets him apart is not just his inclusion in his prestigious catalogue, but the fact that he is the first artist to debut in the 21st century and join the ranks of other music icons.

Brown’s journey began in August 2005 with the breakout smash ‘Run It,’ marking the genesis of a prolific career that has now seen 117 hits grace the Hot 100.

His latest offering, ‘Sensational,’ released in October and found on his latest album ’11:11,’ debuted on the updated edition of the all-genre chart at #98. With this, Chris Brown solidifies his position as the most-decorated male singer in the illustrious 65-year history of the Hot 100.

Congratulations Chris!
