American rapper J. Cole recently made a heartfelt apology to Kendrick Lamar during his performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival in North Carolina.
This apology comes after J. Cole dissed Lamar on ‘7 Minute Drill,’ following Lamar’s diss of Cole and Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s song, ‘Like That.’
During his performance, J. Cole paused to annouce his regret, calling the diss “the lamest sht I ever did in my fcking life.” He announced his decision to remove the diss track from streaming services, acknowledging that it didn’t sit right with his spirit.
J. Cole went on to praise Kendrick Lamar, acknowledging him as one of the greatest to ever pick up a microphone. He mentioned his love for Lamar and hoped that his colleague didn’t feel bad about the diss.
