Tumelo Ramaphosa Hosts and Promotes Celebrity Boxing Event

Influencer, YouTuber, and club hostess Inno Morolong is never one to shy away from speaking her mind, and she’s ready to back up her words in the upcoming boxing match organized by Studex, The Nelson Mandela Foundation, and the International Boxing Association.

Founder of Studex Meat, entrepreneur, crypto exchange businessman, and Cyril Ramaphosa’s youngest son, Tumelo Ramaphosa, sees the inclusion of celebrities as a key strategy to promote the sport. “It’s part of our global expansion,” he explains. “Celebrity boxing has been very successful in South Africa, and this friendly match aims to further promote the sport and encourage support for it.”

Among the participants is celebrity boxer Phumlani Njilo, who will face off against former Skeem Saam actor and stunt double Pholoso Mohlala. Pholoso is eager for the challenge, saying, “I have been training hard. Njilo is a professional boxer, but with my background in martial arts and stunts, I believe I stand a good chance.”

Phumlani Njilo, however, is confident in his skills, sayiing “I like his confidence, but there is no way he is winning.” He emphasizes that the event is about promoting boxing and is looking forward to the match.

Inno Morolong will take on Ashleigh Ogle and is not holding back in her intentions. “I am going to moer her! I am not scared of her,” she declares. Despite her bold statements, Inno shares her happiness to be part of an initiative that promotes boxing and showcases some of the country’s best boxers.

Ashleigh, who recently parted ways with former Springbok’s player Elton Jantjies following domestic violence allegations, sees the match as an opportunity to empower survivors of gender-based violence. “This is not just another fight, but an ode to women, so I will make sure that I win,” she firmly states.

Inno adds a personal note, noting her desire to fight an influencer and club hostess whom she has unresolved issues with. “There are a lot of disrespectful people whom I would love to teach a lesson in the ring,” she remarks. “I don’t condone violence, but in a regulated environment like the boxing ring, I’m all in.”

The event, scheduled for April 21, 2024, at the Durban ICC, holds special significance for Inno as it falls in her birthday month. “April is my birthday month, so I can’t wait to win and enjoy the spoils. I know I am going to win,” she confidently states.

Tumelo Ramaphosa extends his commitment to including more women in boxing, emphasizing the importance of women’s inclusivity in combat sports.

“Women wanted the platform. They want to be able to defend themselves in a platform like this in combat sport,” he concludes.
