The Amapiano music star, Mr JazziQ seems to be following in the footsteps of Makoya Bearings in terms of being dragged on social media for sexual assault allegations, as he has just recently also had his own fare share.
Mr JazziQ has released a statement addressing allegations of sexual assault made by YFM drive-time show producer Ngcebo Mcobothi after she initially took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to accuse an unnamed individual of assault after she rejected his advances. She later identified Mr JazziQ as the person involved after her fans questioned her.
Mr JazziQ’s statement details his response to the allegations and the steps his team took to disprove them, including requesting CCTV footage from YFM. The radio station informed Mr JazziQ’s legal team that the lift in question did not have cameras and distanced itself from Mcobothi’s claims, noting she is a freelancer.
In the absence of CCTV footage, Mr JazziQ released video clips from his videographer showing interactions around the lift area, though not inside it. The footage shows Mcobothi entering the lift first, followed by Mr JazziQ and others, disputing her claim that he was alone with her.
The one thing that has everyone questioning the truth to all of this is that there is no footage in the lift to show who is telling the trust or lying between the two parties, but Mcombothi’s fans are on her side.
